Room In The Inn Clothes Closet Update

Thank you for all the donations to the clothes closet! Your coats and other warm clothes have kept our RITI guests nice and warm this winter, and the men have been very appreciative. We are still accepting donations in the gray bin just outside the church office through the end of March. We are in particular need of backpacks and bags, scarves, hats, and gloves, and any extra large size men's clothes or coats. Please contact Fran Linley (fran.linley@gmail.com) or Kate Griffin (kwpgriffin@yahoo.com) if you have further questions.

As the weather turns colder we are reminded of the power of a hot meal, a warm shower and a safe place to sleep.  This time of year is also when we begin our annual outreach ministry of Room in the Inn.  Starting on November 2nd we will be hosting guests on Wednesday nights by feeding them, letting them shower, obtain some new t-shirts and socks, enjoy a warm, soft bed for the night, and receive a breakfast and sack lunch in the morning.  All of these acts of kindness and love are due to the graciousness of this congregation and others around the city. Please stop by the Parlor before or after service to sign up to bring food for dinner or breakfast, do laundry, or stay the night as an overnight host.  You can also sign up online by using our website, www.nashvillewpc.org or by calling the church office or emailing Lisa Anderson lisa@nashvillewpc.org.
