Westminster Friends

Westminster Friends is a new program that offers opportunities for church members to spend time together and get to know each other around shared interests and fun activities.

FEBRUARY ~

Friday, February 24, 6:30-9:30 pm – Men’s Retreat

This is a casual event with dinner and a great opportunity for those new to Westminster to meet their fellow church members. There is a $20.00 charge to cover the cost of the dinner and facility rental.Once again, Moe's will be catering the dinner; thank you Scott Portis!   RSVP to Jill in the church office 292-5526, ext. 225 or jendsley@nashvillewpc.org

MARCH ~

Saturday, March 3, Morning – Boxwood Pruning & Care
Learn proper techniques and best time of year for pruning boxwoods and practice by helping trim Westminster's boxwoods. Taught by Britton Nielsen.  Exact time 9:00 am   (rain date: Sunday, March 4)
Location: Gather in church parlor, prepared to work outside - Bring a pair of sharp clippers

Friday, March 16, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Bridge Day
Bring a sack lunch and come play bridge with fellow church members.  Cards, drinks and dessert provided.

Paired Lunches - Pick a Sunday in March or April
. . .for your Sunday School class or Disciple class or church committee - just some friends - to invite another church group to join yours for a combined pot luck brunch or lunch in Fellowship Hall. The Congregational Life Committee is happy to help in any way. Contact Sophie Maness with questions.

Sunday, April 29, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Church Potluck
Location: Parlor following the 11:00 am service
Bring: a salad, vegetable or dessert to serve 10-12. Meat will be provided. 

MAY ~

May or early June – Sustainable and Locally Grown Farm Products
A trip to local organic farm to learn about sustainable agriculture and some of the area's best local producers for fresh produce, grass-fed meats, honey, jams, dairy, baked goods, and more.

May 19, 20 or June 4– Bellevue "Summer Slow Down" Picnic
A chance for WPC members living in Bellevue to get together to eat, play, make new friends and enjoy old ones. Coordinated by Jane Gaither and Sophie Maness.  (Contact one of them if you'd like to help!)
